  • Well, if you have the front splitter on there, you might as well get the rear spoiler to balance out the look. Not a crazy fast and furious rear spoiler, but something like factory or OEM Z51. *NM*

  • MPC did the Firebird promos for GM in the '70s, so kit pieces will work. I have kits, but no extra grills. Sorry. *NM*

• Good morning folks. Anyone know if a stock height roof is available for the Revell 30 Ford Coupe? *NM*
  • Even tho' the Revell 30 Coupe is 1/25th I'd be trying the old Monogram 1/24th 30 Coupe roof, otherwise getting a 2nd Revell kit & splicing the extra height from the 2nd set of pillars.....or find a resin conversion. *NM*

• Question: I am building a 64 Galaxie Pro Street using the chassis from the AMT 67 Chevelle. I am trying to decide where I need to add the additional length in the chassis to fit the wheelbase of the Galaxie. I have marked where I think it should be done but PICs.....
  • That's about right. I'd rework the floor and move the frame rails out to the rocker panels, to make it look "not GM" *NM*

  • First off, are you going to cut the hood open, are will this be a curbside build? If the latter, I would suggest simply using the Galaxies chassis as I did on this 61..... *PIC*

  • Seems like a lot of work, but, most aftermarket chassis would look something like this

  • Springboarding off Marty's reply, I'd start off with a Ford chassis (60,63, or 64 depending on your level of detail and engine), then backhalf the chassis and adapt the Chevelle tubs rearward, will make interior and body fit easier and save work *NM*

          • The oft-released AMT '69 Cougar was originally the '67-8; if you can find a builder '67-8 you are on your way
            • There was a resin '68; IIRC it was the GT-E version, not the XR-7 annual...

  • The Cobra would be the late Sixties King Cobra issue, also issued by Round 2 early on. That one couldn't be built stock, but had a number of parts not seen in any other issue of that kit *NM*
    • So - the R2 King Cobra issue would be the one to track down... ? Did any after the 'White Box' have the five-hole Halibrands? *NM*
      • Don't think so. Round 2 retooled the Shelby wheels for their KC rebox. The AMT parts pack Halibrands are pretty close though *NM*

      • That would get you pretty close - or just make one. There are no compound curves
