  • I guess that depends on what you are doing. Personally, I prefer the Revell body for a great Fuel Altered look. *NM* *PIC*

      • It's on one of the mid '70's Revell funny car chassis. *NM*
        • Revell/Atlantis body is a replica of a Cal Automotive fiberglass body. AMT's is closer to an OEM steel body (hood is slightly long)...
  • If you already have an AMT one, you might want to try the Atlantis kit. But it ain't as easy to build...

      • The AMT kit will go together reasonably well just by following the instructions. Revell will need all your skills and then some...

  • Revell 1969 Charger has a 440 wedge, also the AMT 68/6970 Dodge & Plymouths have the 440 Wedge. *NM*
    • IIRC, there are pretty much two complete engines - the Hemi and 440 in the Charger. Just put the wedge top end on your '67 block...

    • I modified the Revell 69 Nova bench and rear seat to fit the AMT Chevelle when I built my 71 Heavy Chevy back in 2013. Canuck 3D has the bench seat and plain front grille conversion. *NM*

      • I just received my order from Canuck 3D. Great parts, but the bench seat is actually a 4dr bench. It'll need a bit of work to make it right. Otherwise, the '71 Chevelle front end conversion and the flat hood are sweeeeet. *NM*

  • My vote is for Tamiya. However, if you want a REAL good pearl white then get an automotive brand. Like from MCW or hit one of the auto parts stores that carry spray paint. *NM*
    • Duplicolor Toyota/Lexus pearl white. Doesn’t have a bluish cast like some others. Clear gloss on top, and you're good to go *NM*

  • Tamiya worked for me - but agree with the other comments depending on how much pearl you want in the finish. Also, try the nail polish aisle... I've seen pearlescents there, too
    • Interesting the different shades you can get,I hit a restored Ala Kart with white primer & Tamiya spray white pearl,came out great but got lazy doing the new tooled Ala Kart in grey plastic & shot the Tamiya can on that plastic,with a result being a slightly darker pear. *NM*
      • I could also see a super bright pure metallic silver (with no black mixed in) as a base for a tricoat pearl finish *NM*
        • Tamiya makes a clear pearl also, it would reduce potential guesswork as to the end color *NM*

  • Interesting...thats a phantom of Spence Murray's Rod & Custom Dream Truck...did they or anyone do a 1/25th model kit of the Dream Truck?(I know Hot Wheels did the 1/64 diecast) , then burgundy scallop decals would be the next problem......lol. *NM*
