  • Len, Wylde Parnell makes a 3d resin bench seat for the 72 Chevelle, Revell 77 Monte Carlo, and a split bench for the Revell 86 Monte Carlo, but that one would be 1/24. I have one and could measure it for you if that would help. *NM*

  • The former Little Deuce? Revell did crank some of those out not long ago, but they weren't available in hobby shops or online. I've never seen stock hood panels for that kit *NM*

• If I had one of those tops I would do that in a heartbeat. Shouldn't be too hard to adapt to one of the newer AMT or Revell early sharks they tooled up in the late '80s/early '90s. *NM*
• Probably through '76, as AMT didn't change the optional parts in their Corvette annual kits. They did make a '77 coupe, but that year's annuals had no optional parts except a CB radio *NM*

    • Well it's not as tough as kit chrome but once it's dry it will stand up without much impact. I did a spoon test when I first got it and let it dry for 24 hours. I could rub it with my finger and it took it no problem. *NM*
      • Sounds like it is a lot better than the "Other" stuff that would turn to dull silver if you looked at it too hard !!! *NM*
        • I’ve had kit chrome come off with my fingers if I rubbed too hard as well. The quality of kit chrome in some kits can be really bad. *NM*

  • Just my opinion, the wheels look too wide for the tires. I've never seen wheels where the edge of the rim sticks out beyond the tire sidewall several inches. *NM*

    • Blue car has a wedge engine and full exhaust system, red car is the Super Stock version with the Hemi engine. All of these kits include both grilles *NM*

  • Back some time before 9-11 my dad and I went to NY to do my aunt a favor and we stayed in the building 3 hotel at the base of the twin towers. We went up to the observation level near the top and actually were looking down at the small private planes that were flying above

• It is possible that for an upcharge the dealer would paint the wheels to match the body. Or he could simply install full wheelcovers. I painted my 65 Iris Mist with black wheels. *NM*

• Sounds like the only way they could do one is to modify the existing tooling? If that’s the case they shouldn’t do it because then we’d lose the ‘69
  • They may have missed out on an opportunity. If they'd beaten AMT to the punch and done a 71 Demon, then they'd have already had the front clip, mixed with their existing Dart chassis which is the best of the bunch, and then later develop a 70 Swinger from the mix *NM*
    • I'm not sure it's that simple. With the different shape of the fender tops and trunk lid, it most likely would require a whole new core.
      • Additionally, they had different wheelbases. Demon 108”, Swinger 111”. *NM*

• Not an expert, but my understanding is that base steel wheels with hubcaps (dog dish style) were painted body color, and if full wheel covers were ordered, the wheels were painted black. *NM*
