59 impala 4 door
No idea if theres a resin conversion but didn't JoHan do a 59/60 4dr h/top Oldsmobile which could be used with a Revell 59 Chev to make the 4dr h/top body.....lot of work tho'. *NM*
Round2 is coming out with a Craftsman kit of a 1960 Impala wagon sometime this year. Maybe that will help you ? Just a suggestion. *NM*
You'll need some scratch building skills, but the '59 El Camino roof has the rear portion. Also the vintage JoHan '59 Olds, but that might be difficult to find at a reasonable price. Good luck and you CAN do it. *NM*
I believe there was a bat-roof '59 in resin back when - Modelhaus? AAM? *NM*
AAM, I believe. IIRC it was made to work with the Monogram’59 Impala kit. *NM*
All American did it in the early 90's. Repopped by TM Resin after Art went into hibernation.... *NM*
TM Resin... Time Machine Resin? Didn't he close shop, too? Which really sucks. I've purchased some items from him and like what he offered. *NM*
He closed shop some 6-8 years ago due to health reasons AFAIK. Pity, as he cast to a very high standard. Wish I had bought more :-( *NM*
Have you checked on any 3D sources? I think that is your best bet. *NM*
I need help identifying this model please...
Steve Milberry says that this is the Revell Malibu Grand Prix kit *NM*
Here's one from the MCM forum.... *NM* *PIC*
Hey... the trailer looks like the one that is included with Revell's Bronco and Buggy kit. *NM* *PIC*
One more photo, this was posted by Gustavo Reis on the same site..... *PIC*
Thanks everyone, this is great! Now, which engine will I shoehorn in it :) *NM*
I found the box art, quite neat :) *NM*
NNL Trivia...As part of the NNL Nats #1 (Summer 1980) and NNL West #2 (January 1983) participants also competed at the nearby 1/1 Malibu Grand Prix tracks, and yes, that is the model replicated in your pix, Howard! TB *NM*
A real Mustang I had never seen....... *PIC*
Re: A real Mustang I had never seen.......
The tail looks mid-60s Riv, the front fenders '63 Buick-ish, and the side quarters if you could find a 3d printed 70s Grand Am or someone who'd print those sections for you *NM*
I see some AMX in the body lines around the rear wheel openings, but it does look like a Mustang dash, interesting. *NM*
It was built from a new 1965 Mustang. I think it
Looking very Barris from his... less than stellar era
The Sonny and Cher Mustangs still exist! *LINK*
Correct Sonny and Cher Mustangs still exist!
Pretty convincing collision damage......
I thought of just what you are saying before I was finished with it. I know that it's too nice underneath. I don't know how to "dirty it up" and I don't want to mess up this model trying to learn how to do it. I'll practice on something else then get to this when I learn ho *NM*
Sounds like a good plan....
I'd recommend the Scale Auto DVDs, especially stuff Pat Covert or Terry Jesse did on the topic. Also, don't be afraid to check out what the military and rail guys (think FSM and Model RR...) *NM*
I like that B/A logo but long gone. Here is one I did. PICC
Did you do your own B/A logo? *NM*
