• can you safely use Polly ELO on clear plastic/glass? *NM*
  • I had a bad experience, but your results may vary - test a scrap first! *NM*
  • In my experience it can lightly etch the glass. Since you'll polish out the etching anyway, I'd recommend just polishing off the paint (I've done it). I use Novus #2. Go slow so you won't crack the glass (especially if it's vintage). *NM*
    • I would also back the other side with a quality masking tape to help strengthen the window. *NM*

  • The antique fire truck club I belong to brings his 1909 Hale pumper to our annual muster, and pumps from a local river for hours.
    • This is my view as well. Today’s vehicles are awash with integrated electronics that are very specific to the vehicle and tend to have relatively short production runs. They also tend to degrade over time when exposed to heat and humidity (i.e. being outside).

    • It seems to me we're already in a similar situation with finding parts for vintage cars that aren't Ford, Chevy or muscle cars. *NM*
      • Now imagine how much worse that would be if these vintage cars wouldn’t work without specific computers and in-car networks running complex, proprietary software. This applies to all modern vehicles, but EVs software is an order of magnitude higher than ICEs.
        • One also has to think about whether there will be a business case for Tesla (since that’s the maker we are discussing) to keep all legacy software and make a mechanism available to distribute it to the public, or if royalty fees and potential litigation would make or break
      • It's not as bad as some want to believe, but getting good quality replacement parts can be an issue *NM*

  • Marty, I was just looking at a video describing the kit contents and, yes, the parts are there for 2 wheel drive in addition to 4x4 parts. The original Warlock did not contain parts for 2 wheel drive. *NM*
  • It does have the 2WD suspension parts, but only the larger 4 X 4 tires. I think the slotted LRT wheels are still on the plated tree though *NM*

  • I too have noticed some issues with recent Round 2 decals. The "caution striped bumper" decal in my 1963 F100 kit would not lay down over the kit bumper in spite of all the accepted decal setting approaches; it was too thick and did not adhere well. I recall reading a ...
    • No excuse for that. My earlier post on golden age mentioned the exceptional quality of Chinese and Italian kits. Round 2 has done good reissues and need to get to world class on their decals. *NM*
