- OT...are any of you older guys experiencing issues with your manual dexterity (fumble fingers)? I am, and it's driving me nuts, and affecting my build quality. *NM*

- I spend more time on my knees retrieving and searching for dropped parts than I do building now days, It has slowed me down over the last few years.. *NM*
- Between dropping stuff, a little bit of occasional shaky hands and needing a magnifier, it's a wonder I still feel like building!😜 *NM*
- I want to start making some of my own radiator hoses. I want to buy a spool of black sheathed copper wire which will retain its shape when bent. What O.D. wire should I buy to simulate 1/25 scale hoses ? I'm going to take my calipers to the store with me. *NM*
- Start with the diameter of a real hose, 2" maybe?
- You'd want single strand wire, the multiple strand sometimes doesn't bend as much as you would need or want it to *NM*
- Use the insulation off the wire, insert some small dia. solder inside. Best of both worlds, bends easily and will pretty much hold its shape. You need some wire (insulation) that's about .080" or slightly bigger. You can also make hoses from bent wire/solder with heat

- I’m guessing that’s an error. It doesn’t show up on the list of available colors for the 71 Barracuda, and isn’t on the 1971 paint chart on auto color library. *NM* *LINK*
- Peter Sessler's Paint Code Interchange Manual does not list Code M-3 Panther Pink/Moulon Rouge in '71. Only 1970 *NM*
- Definitive answer - it was a 1970 1/2 color only, not 1971. There were just several 1971 cars painted that color but they were all special orders, not regular production cars. Some paint chip manuals would show prior mid-year colors on their next year color chips as info..
- I have seen 1 documented 1971 Charger painted Panther Pink. I have read that there were 3 rumored 1971 Chargers painted Panther Pink. *NM*
- To bring it into a model building context, then if somebody wanted to build a factory-correct 1971 Demon in Panther Pink, then they would be right in doing so, as it could have had special-order paint. *NM*

- Dodge built the Sizzler package for the Demon to be like the Twister package on the Duster. All Of the performance looks, without the performance. In early stages of development, the Sizzler was supposed to be named the "Beaver" !! The cars were insurance beaters. .... *PIC*

- Actually "Beaver" was the original name choice for the Dodge Demon before they figured out what it was CB slang for.

- Yes, that was me complaining. My complaints are of the engine itself and the chassis and suspension. They're so generic looking. But the body is beautiful and that's what really counts, so I'm going to keep on building them. *NM*

- I thought the great AMT tooling purge was in the early ‘70’s? ‘77 and early ‘80’s too? I don’t know, sounds like urban myth on the last two time periods. Similar to the story of disgruntled workers stealing the valuable tooling inserts to get back at Johan. *NM*

- I've had similar problems with my three(I'm a glutton for punishment) old Dodge trucks. Clean all the grounds, both the lighting and other chassis grounds, and look everywhere, some are not so obvious. but then sometimes it was multiple problems. wishing you.Good Luck!... *NM*

- I have a Johan Mercury Comet (well Testors actually) that is in need of a chassis. Does anyone know it the chassis from the AMT 67 Mercury Comet/Cyclone is a good match?
- Cyclone/'66 Fairlane (same chassis) will be too big. Maybe look at a '69 or '70 Mustang, but details like the fuel tank will be "off" for the Maverick/Comet *NM*
- Best match is the AMT '67 Mustang 'new tool' ... well, new enough
- I know that this is not answering your original question, but I have a suggestion. Can you wait for the Moebius Maverick to come out? It will be the same chassis as the Comet. *NM*

- Same reason class 8 trucks grease 5th wheels, reduces friction and makes for smoother turning . of course most pull behind trailers aren't nearly as heavy as semi trailers. *NM*
- Simply bad timing. The oil embargo in late ‘73 with CAFE requirements on the horizon spelled doom for the big cube 455 engine. However, almost a decade later, the SD 2.5L 4cyl was available through GM parts which showcased high performance on a 4cyl engine. *NM*

- I have never had a trailer, but up north on the east coast we get a whole lotta rust... probably more than any part of North America... I've seen people grease trailer hitches. Steve is from roughly my part of the world as well, so likely that's why he mentioned rust.
