- Anyone still using Humbrol enamel? What's the best thinner for airbrushing? They recommend "white spirits", or their own thinner. *NM*
- I don't airbrush the stuff (tried once, didn’t care for it) but do like it for brush painting engines and chassis parts. It's good old enamel (like old Testors or Pactra), any good enamel thinner will do *NM*
- Yep, me, have used it for 50yrs, I haven't airbrushed it for a few yrs, got lazy & now use tamiya rattle cans for bodies but Humbrol brushed for all detail work, wash brushes & thin with mineral turps but use enamel thinner when airbrushing, I've also got tamiya enamels &
- Mineral Sprits.........Or Rock ghosts...... *NM*
- One thing worth knowing is that Humbrol Paint Charts are good to have as they have cross reference lists to other paint brands incl the US Military FS numbers,Testors,Tamiya,Revell,Gunze,Life Color, Games Workshop, etc....AFAIK the charts are still available. *NM*
