  • I'm assuming that its enamel....I'd try a drop or two with some minreal turpentine or enamel thiners...lacquer thinners as suggested would also work but I'd try whatever just on a drop to start with. *NM*

        • Yes. I've always tried to clean up the mold lines, which can be terrible on blower scoops; but that Revell spray is marvelous, just makes things perfect! *NM*

  • Mostly the same except for the section behind the rear axle. Wagons are different there then sedans and hardtops. *NM*
  • The spare tire lies flat in the Nomad. The fuel tank is crescent shaped to go around the tire well. *NM*

      • OK, thanks guys. I have both kits but the parts are kind of mixed . it looks like my sedan has the straight axle from the Nomad under it.
        • There have been two versions of the sedan; one included the Nomad's drag front axle setup, unplated *NM*
          • I built the AMT '55 sedan as a gasser many years ago and used the Revell '56 Nomad chassis, fit right in. *NM*
          • Do you recall which of the issues had the Nomad straight axle parts?
            • The ones called "street machine". Those have the drag parts but no stock version *NM*
              • You would have thought that Round2 would create new box art for the gasser version given the re-issue of the Revell "Bad Man" kit that isn't the "Bad Man" gasser. and the way it seems to be selling

    • The early gasser sat that way in an effort to get the weight transferred to the rear tires. Usually they sat higher in the front than the rear.

• 71 Dodge Demon Grille
  • A builder on FB posted a method
  • I used MOPAR Argent paint for wheels, grills, headlamp bezels ( MOPAR part #P4529876) and then hand painted the black. *NM* *PIC*
    • Is there any bright finish on either grille? Would it make sense to separate it and strip it? *NM*
      • All the shiny stuff is on the hood edge and the edge of the front fenders, Grille is just argent and flat black. I have no idea how you'd neatly paint this, but Dave did a darn good job on his. *NM* *PIC*

        • Typically what I'd do is first paint it with the semi-gloss silver/argent. This should be an enamel, or real lacquer paint. Make sure it is fully cured. Then do the black with acrylic paint. If you go outside the lines with the
          • Windex will cut most acrylic overspray without harming the base *NM*
