- Watkins Glen Vintage coming this weekend...anyone going?
- I am now experiencing pop ups just from navigating around this board. Anybody else?? *NM*
- Dave Van, how did you make out with your brake line flaring?? *NM*
- I might - the bumper stripped clean but the lights are in there pretty good. *NM*
- Bill Goldbach posted this Ute a while back but I always thought it was missing something....
- Yes! *NM*
- Black out the area between the side windows and it would look great. *NM*
- Still don't like the back of the cab area....too 'heavy'. *NM*
- Ray, remember that they didn't make many, from 1957-62 only 727 Chrysler Royal Wayfarer Utes, even less Plainsman Wagons(196) both SV6 & Poly V8, did you note the Plymouth tailights, also that thick C pillar was also used on the 61-66 Falcon Utes compared to the US Rancheros *NM*
- Chrysler Royals, 1957 to 1962 were based on the 54 Plymouth 4dr sedan with 55/56 Plymouth front & rear fenders, 230,250 side valve 6's & 313 poly V8, I wrecked a '62 AP3 Royal for the Poly V8/auto in my 40 Dodge.....most Chrysler Royals went to car Valhalla, lol. *NM*
- FWIW, this is how the back glass is in relation to the side panel. *PIC*
- How about a vinyl top with opera windows? :-) *NM*
- I had never seen one of those before. I really like the bold side trim/two tone paint divider line. The bed sides on a ute rising higher than the fenders is a bit odd, though. The added side window looks good. Be a nice subtle custom touch to add and still look "stock". *NM* *PIC*
- OT: 67 years ago yesterday(Sept. 5th, 1956), I arrived at Great Lakes Naval Training Center. I STILL wake up at 0500/0530!! L.O.L. Have a great day everybody! *NM*
- A little progress *PIC*
- My other stop on Monday was the Labor Day show, at Poopy's Pub, in Savanna (IL). Again, it was small, it was hot, and it was dusty, but there were some pretty cool cars *PICS* *LINK*
- Will the chassis from the AMT 1958 Chevy fit the original AMT 1958 Buick? I can get a Buick kit minus the chassis. Usually, the wheelbase of the Chevy's is shorter than the BOP's. What other common kit chassis can be used under the 58 Buick body? I need the same wheelbase. *NM*
- Labor Day Monday, I went to a couple of small car shows. Unfortunately, I am once again having problems with my home Internet/WiFi, so bear with me as I attempt to share them from my phone. First up, the Davis Park Labor Day show, in Rockford. *PICS* *LINK*
- Hello guys I'm doing okay still having issue with my tremour but not as bad as they where. I need some looking for a Article
- Devon Truck Show 2023, primarily Euro and Brit modern trucks. The guy has a ton of photo files if you feel like exploring. *NM* *LINK*
- I had the hobbyshop dream last night...
- I have those too. In addition, there are ones they never made like the Johan ‘79 Eldorado and ‘80 Cadillac Coupe Deville, MPC ‘71 Pontiac Grand Ville, ‘72 Lincoln Mark IV, ‘71 Cadillac Coupe Deville, ‘73 Ford LTD, ‘72 T-Bird, etc, etc. *NM*
- Sure have different dreams - Tatra 77, Mercer Raceabout, Austin 7, Scammell Scarab,,,,,, *NM*
- Well, I had that dream for real for 20yrs, my own hobby shop, specialised in plastic cars, trucks & planes & resin conversions...no trains, toys, dolls, radio control or games....lasted from 1996 to 2016..a dream?...nightmare sometimes but still miss it....lol. *NM*
- Happens about once or twice a year to me
- I joined the ATSFHSMA a few years ago (not a member now). The ATSF Historical Society and Modeling Association did have a few members then who were not that "welcoming" to the BNSF era.
- That's really great looking. *NM*
- Great job! *NM*
- AMC cars hauler replica? Probably did not want to give Dodge the credit for hauling their cars. Anybody know? Or maybe Dodge wanted too much $ for licensing the model? *NM*
- GOOD GUY: John Sharisky Got the engines today--if everybody packed as well as he, there wouldn't be any damaged stuff! *NM*
- Weekend *PIC*
- Pretty sure only the two Buick wagon kits use that "tall" box...
- That Nickle Plate Alco is along way from home, if you took that pic in Arizona. *NM*
- How kool would that be if those were all a modern tooling kit? Nice score, look forward to your builds. *NM*
- Re: Tamiya Mercedes McLaren SLR Yikes! that's awesome! *NM*
- Are the Pinty cars basically the same as a ARCA car? *NM*
- I have a few POLA G scale items....PICS
- Wow. At least he had a good life. *NM*
- Nice job! Now it's completely gorgeous. A little embarrassed at having pointed that trivial blemish out. Thanks for not taking offense. Such a beautiful build. *NM*
- The cheap radiators' tanks are welded, but final assembly (tanks with the finned tubes) is done with epoxy. If you have a "flipper farm" "classic car dealership" in your neck of the woods, you can likely see cheap radiators on some of their consignment cars *NM*
- None for sale, but I could do a hi-res scan of the sheets *NM*
- Part Request
- Re: MPC Chevy Monza Sportback was 5 lug. Like I said, verify. I was just going by the box art picture which looks like it might be either? Hard to tell in a small picture. Thanks for the clarification. Here it is enlarged: *NM* *PIC*
- Terry, reach out to STS Scale Model Decals, they do some great work and pricing is quite reasonable.
