LOTS of young folks at the car shows and a new wave brought in by tech in the model hobby.
What will kill both is Hotel cost!!!
We wanted to go to Mustang week charlotte. $1300 for Fri-Sun for 4 adults in a ADA room. I thought about doing it then they hit me with a fee for each vehicle and trailer. Another $100....PASS.....

2nd pick show in KY. $1100 with NO parking of tow or trailers. PASS....

My desire to do car shows is going away fast. Gas, food and rooms are killing it.

PS It does not have to be this way. We are booked for Ponies in the Smokies 2027 already. The same HOUSE that sleeps 8, 2 car garage with work area, fantastic place......$1100 for 8 days.
I have not done a model show since 2024, mostly the same issues......
